On March 27, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that USCIS is taking measures to maximize flexibility for Requests for Evidence (RFEs), and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs) by extending the deadline to respond by 60 days.

This decision has been rendered in response to the Coronavirus (COVID -19) pandemic. Hence, if any petitioner or applicant receives an RFE or NOID response from USCIS dated between March 1 and May 1, 2020, they can submit the response within 60 calendar days after the response deadline mentioned in the RFE or NOID.

Under theses measure, USCIS will be more flexible to minimize the immigration consequences associated with responding to requests for evidence (RFEs) and notices of intent to deny (NOIDs) dated between March 1 and May 1, 2020. These responses will be considered by USCIS, before any decision is made or any action is taken.
